Proceset

During the 2014 economic crisis, Russian companies were looking for ways to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Companies studied the work of project teams and the impact of schedule on employee productivity, evaluated indicators, and analyzed tools used to solve work issues. At that time, time management was mainly based on the use of time management systems, and our product CrocoTime is a good example.

After companies adapted, they began to pay attention to internal business processes. The main question was why the ideal processes on paper do not work well in reality. We communicated with many clients, studied foreign markets and noticed that process mining is gaining popularity in the world. It is a process analysis and visualization technology based on data from the internal systems of an organization. Process Mining systems made it possible to eliminate the lack of information on the execution of the process within companies, visualize the chain of events and find bottlenecks.

“At first, we considered the possibility of adding new functionality to the CrocoTime system, but abandoned this idea: we needed a wider functionality to record the operations performed per second. Then I made a decision – Infomaximum will become the first Russian developer of the process mining system. ” – says CEO Alexander Bochkin.

We have been working on creating the system for 1.5 years. We faced difficulties: system failures, lack of developers, exploring new areas. Our team was fully involved in the process of creating its IT solution. The result was Proceset. The first release of the system was presented in October 2019, but even before the official presentation, the system was registered in the unified register of Russian software.

The system operates on the basis of data obtained from event logs available in information systems. Proceset makes it possible to optimize the business processes and carry out their reengineering, identifies deviations and helps to use all available resources rationally.

The company has carried out a number of pilot projects taking into account the specifics of Russian business, and received detailed feedback. The project was completely ready for implementation.

 “Technologies like these can save a company from many problems. Due to the large number of staff and hundreds of processes, it is almost impossible to recreate their actual course, – says Alexander Bochkin. – Proceset details all operations and their duration and presents the process in a visual and understandable form. When comparing the resulting model with an ideal, regulated one, various deviations immediately become apparent, including: additional operations, time loops, change of performers, return to previous steps. These are the bottlenecks that prevent systems from achieving results as efficiently as possible.”

Proceset is used not only to display internal work, but also helps to solve the following issues:

  • Optimize processes. The system forms a clear understanding of what and where exactly can be improved in order to achieve positive results (increase profits, speed up the process, increase productivity);
  • Conduct an audit. Proceset reveals all hidden operations that accompany documented processes;
  • Define directions for robotization. All initiatives should be based on accurate data and not be based on theoretical hypotheses. Proceset will tell you what exactly needs to be automated to achieve maximum results.
